Meet Dr. Ovanesian

Dr. Grisha Ovanesian is a long-time Los Angeleno who moved to Cathedral City in 2009 to pursue his private practice as a general and cosmetic dentist. Dr. Ovanesian holds two Bachelor’s degrees. A Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Chemistry (minor) from CSU Fullerton, and a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from University of Southern California (USC). Upon graduation from USC, Dr. Ovanesian participated in a six month post graduate program as a clinical instructor at the USC Periodontology Department.

In 2006 Dr. Ovanesian received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from Indiana University (IU) in the top 15 in his class with scholarships for his outstanding clinical achievements. He currently holds dental practice licenses in California and Arizona and is board certified in 36 U.S. states. Dr. Ovanesian is a member of American Dental Association (ADA), Arizona Dental Association, and Tri-County Dental Association.

Since his graduation from IU, Dr. Ovanesian has gained his professional experience working for private practices receiving invaluable practical training from highly decorated mentors. Among his colleagues and patients, Dr. Ovanesian is regularly praised for his integrity, honesty, and sense of accountability as a doctor for whom the patients’ health and aesthetic needs always take precedence before anything else. He is known as the doctor who takes time to educate his patients about the necessary treatments. Dr. Ovanesian’s clear instructions for pre-operative preparation and post-operative care usually eliminate the patient’s stress and anxiety about being at a dental office. His patients enjoy the comfort of an in-house laboratory which allows the doctor to pay close attention to crowns, removable partial dentures, C/C dentures and make the necessary correction while the patient waits in the chair.
